Training and Education
If your dog is not everything you would like him to be,
perhaps some Training and Education would help. Training new behaviors
to your dog, and educating you to help you understand better how your
dog thinks, is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. I enjoy
making training and education fun, and never ask anyone to do anything
they are not comfortable with. I believe that consistency, guidance,
praise and exercise are important components for your dog well-being.
In-Home Training
is great for people who have minor concerns and would like to do the
training themselves. I am happy to come to your home and work with
you, your family, and your dog to accomplish the things you would like
to see changed. Sessions are $120 (plus a travel fee if outside Colusa
County) usually last 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I will leave you with plenty of
insight on your dog's behavior and homework for you to improve it. I
also encourage you to call me for phone assistance if additional help
is needed.
Boarding Training
is great for people who would prefer me to train their dog and then
teach them how to maintain and develop, more desirable, behaviors. I
will come to your home, evaluate your dog while giving you a chance to
evaluate me, and then bring your dog back to the ranch to spend time
with me and my pack. Here, your dog will learn the things that we
would have discussed during the evaluation. Because good habits take
time to develop, I require at least 2 weeks of training. I would then
return the dog to you and teach you how to continue your dog's
development. Boarding Training starts at $750 for two weeks (plus a
travel fee if outside Colusa County).
While your dog is with me in training, I offer an on-line journal for
you, so you can see what your dog is learning and ask me any questions
you may have.
If you would like to schedule your dog for Training, you may request appointments, or information, using an
online form, or calling me at 530-476-BARK.
