Cathy Pitts has been working in the dog business all her life. As a 10
year old, she started her own dog walking and training business. Even
at that young age, she displayed a natural ability to work with dogs
and their owners and was able to help many families live more
harmoniously with their dogs. As a child, she knew she wanted to work
with Guide Dogs and it was something that she worked towards while
growing up.
In 1988, she joined Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael,
California. There she worked for 14 years as a Licensed, Senior
Instructor. After leaving Guide Dogs, she moved to Colusa county and
started
Eureka Hill Ranch.
Cathy has had the privilege to work with many people and their dogs in
the fields of obedience, herding, search and rescue, as well as service
dogs for the visually, hearing, or physically impaired.
Cathy now lives on a small ranch with her husband, Fred. They share
the ranch with some barn animals, a few cats, a pair of Whippets,
affectionately known as "the twins", an Australian Kelpie.
Cathy enjoys time with friends and family, putting miles on the Mini
Cooper, and helping people with their dogs. She can often be found
walking her pack of dogs along the creek, or in the hills.
